undetectable guys are the best kind of guy to hook up with. most transmissions occur from men who THINK they're negative but have been recently infected and have a high viral load.

I bareback with undetectable guys all the time

You will be fine Roman. I had a summer fling with a guy who was HIV+ undetectable a few years back and I'm fine. We engaged in oral a LOT, always used condoms and I was completely fine. You are at minimal risk, in fact it's safer considering you know his status and that he is undetectable. Some guys do not even know that they have the virus and have extremely high viral loads which skyrockets the risk of contraction ten fold.

And if someone was to get the virus in this day and age, it's not a death sentence. You can live a completely healthy and regular life on treatment.

This isn't me trying to make you feel bad about sleeping with him or anything like that, I just wanted to let you know that you are not at risk. What you do is completely up to you and you are well within you rights to not sleep with him. Just please don't be insensitive if you choose to do just that.

Question. If he's undetectable and you use protection but the condom broke and he climax inside you, is it 100% that you'll get the virus. I'm so paranoid about these things that's why I'm so scared I won't probably do it if it only takes one broke condom. And what if he's not undetectable?

HIV cannot transmit while being suppressed because protease inhibitors in the drug block virus production and thus allows the immune system to fight back. So if he is undetectable then he can't give it to you.

I'd rather get swarmed by a small army of men with HIV who are on top of their health that get with one guy who's unsure of his status. Do you know how many men lie? A lot. They'll tell you they just got tested 2 weeks ago but not tell you that they've been with 5 guys (and fries) since.

The risk isn't what you know, it's what you don't.

To be fair, you could just as well lie about being undetectable and I think that's the actual problem here. So either you demand the receipts from them or you do put a huge amount of trust in them, which I don't see why anyone would if it's someone they barely know.
