Candy Williams (Insider) about Woohoo
Quote:
I just said that RCA put their people on it to try and stop it, didn't I. You don't have the rest of the songs cause hmmmm, maybe they have been successful thus far. Will they continue to be successful? I doubt it. Woohoo is the one song, so far they couldn't stop quick enough.
The songs are out there to be leaked BECAUSE of that promotion CD, and get this, the songs that's out there TO be leaked just so happens to be the songs on that promotion cd. That is not a coincidence.
lawd, like teaching abc's.
I don't know how people who leak things work, maybe they were gonna do one at a time, maybe they could only buy one at a time. I'm not the one leaking the ish and since I never listen to leaked material I don't know how they do their illegal ish. If you have a question about why they didn't get to leak all the songs before rca got to them, you have to ask them.
I just know where the leaks came from and what's being done to staunch the flow. They will try to gather up all the yt woohoo's and again have it as exclusive as they can get it, so it will be back under RCA's control.
And for the person who asked me about Monday's news, it's not for me to say even if I did know, which I don't, it's for Christina to say.
I'm not here giving news, I'm not here to tell you something only an insider knows, record companies fight leaks all the time, when entire albums don't leak it's because they have been working nonstop to keep it from happening. Usher has done the same thing when a song has leaked, so has Em, and the songs don't always end up being the next single, unless it becomes a raging hit. Em went so far as to release his album early, Prince released his rumored leaked album over the internet.
Artists do things to try to stop the leaks, this is no different. You all should know this better than me.

And about second single and more songs.
Quote:
I should have said, they weren't THINKING of releasing a second single YET.
I remember when ld was saying her songs off of b2b were flops too and thinking they should release something else in a hurry. Just because it 'flops' by ld standards hasn't seem to matter so far to RCA.
There is also a history of Christina singing songs on tv that never become the 'next' single. Impossible anyone? The song she sang at the Olympics, was going to be the first single. They were going to release another song off her initial album and never did. We heard a leaked song before Dirrty ld thought was going to be her first single.
Hearing another song before her albums release hasn't meant anything yet.
On the other hand, Christina has a million songs this era, no telling what they will do or how many they will release. I'm only saying that if not for the leak, RCA would not have put it out there, at this point and time.
That is all I'm saying.
