Facebook is having a lot of inactive users and I see posts in ig reaching 3 to 4 million likes easily while you rarely see that in Facebook.

I do kinda feel like Facebook is slowly on it's way out. I don't really know anyone that still uses it in the same way as they did 3-5 years ago. These days I mainly just use it for Messenger and to look at memes on my feed when I'm bored.

Only middle aged people use facebook as their main platform right now, the rest is on instagram IMO.

Facebook is still the best way for me to see news media in one place but that's about all I use it for now. I don't even have the apps on my phone anymore.

you don't understand how massively huge facebook is, even if it isn't cool with young people. it has over a billion active users every month. and they've expanded and monetized it in a way that makes it far less disposable than a fad like myspace. nothing is overtaking it for a long time.

It evolved to middle aged people and a lot of people in 3rd world countries discovered it years after it was hot in the US. That's when it really peaked I think...

no facebook has the old demographic the grandmas grandpas the middle aged etc. still their best way to stay in touch with family members living in a different country or state etc

Plus as a platform, it works. It's more universal than Instagram is and has a whole lot of capabilities. Instagram will pass it, but Facebook will be around to exist.

I know what you mean, Facebook is a huge money machine, but Ig is growing in a faster way and users are way more active.

The ones saying instagram is declining because of snapchat are confused. I think snapchat is more trendy right now, but is a very small portion of teens the ones replacing it.

Yes and it's the best social by far. Facebook is declining but I'm still using for contact my friends and parents.
