I'm an objective Britney stan.
My thing is this: Britney ALMOSt could be considered in the same situation if it wasn't for xtina aguilesser, messica simpleton and others because Pink and Beyonce and Justine are now ahead of her.
difference: she still had longevity, more iconic videos, moments, performances than ladies beyonce and Justine and gentleman Pink, they'll never catch up to her sales...
and let's say they did.
Britney remains a pop culture legend, an entertainment legend and a pop music legend.
She failed to be more than a music icon...
Gaga didn't even reach past icon so it makes the situation worse that she led and is now being led by the girls that followed.
Good on Britney for having Aguilesser, Messica and a few others to keep her status in the middle but Bieber, Taylor, Katy, Rihanna, Adele, bruno, even Ariana and a few others.

Short version: YOUR FAVE failed to become a legend before her career ended like a Britney, Mariah. Madonna, Mary J blige, Usher etc. so the stans needed to humble themselves like they aren't on a continuing to remain on a sinking ship
