A German school in Istanbul (paid for by Germany) is no longer allowed to do anything related to Christmas. They can't teach anything related to the tradition and can't sing any Christmas songs. The Turkish high school that the German school has ties with is secular.

It is dangerous and creates a lot of xenophobia which can lead to us becoming just as dangerous as the terrorists who we fear ex: Hilter. Did you forget that it is easy to stir an entire nation into hating one race or one religion with this way of thinking that you guys have? It is actually very easy and it is sad to see that we are low key moving that way in the west. I'm not saying we should not combat certain elements and values of Islam that oppose our own but at the same time we cannot view all muslims as our enemy. the 1% do not equate or represent the 1.6 billion Muslims around the world.

Not necessarily their entire religion, there should be global rules when it comes to freedom of speech/equality (for LGBTQ, women, poc, etc) allowing for prosecution of every government, ruler, person who doesn't treat people the same on grounds they can't change about themselves (and yes, you can change religion so that shouldn't be protected)

Just because not all 1.6 billion Muslims are terrorists doesn't mean they don't agree with ISIS on what is considered a sin in Islam. Progressive groups have been fighting conservative Christians and Christian ideologies in the West for decades to create equality for marginalized people (and that fight is not over). I don't see why doing the same against Islam and Muslims is a problem.
