There would be big sellers if the target audience was 13-30. Like others said, make younger themes and recent successful artist tributes (Shakira, Rihanna, Gwen Stefani, Britney, Christina, Lady GaGa, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Alicia Keys) and younger genres. Then you'd see some real personalities come out.

Themes for Rihanna, Lady Gaga or anyone else that is still young/current won't exactly work. When each idol contestant releases an album I'm pretty sure people will be comparing the crap out of them with one of the artists you mentioned and it'll be bad enough when they're competiting with them on the charts.
