Out of curiosity how do the top 4 songs from each era compare in pure sales (I know Bey wins when talking streams etc)

I think you guys are being a little close-minded when looking at sales of the album only. That time period was when I was fully awakened to pop culture. Britney was all over radio, while Beyonce had a moderately successful area that didn't cross over well to mainstream audiences. She was really popular in the urban community, though.
