Guys, I'm just creating a new thread because I haven't found any thread for exclusively for progressives in ATRL. Also I want a place to discuss this with everyone.
Its no surprise after Trump's victory, liberal America is in shambles.
I feel sometimes the liberals deserve this so much because I find them constantly bickering over themselves over insignificant things.
Like on the one side of the spectrum there are the extremely left leaning journalists who are still constantly beating the dead horse that is Clinton, most of their videos still attack Clinton. I also think they were never supportive of Clinton, even leading up to the last week given what we were up against.
On the other hand we have those psedo SJWs from tumblr and in some cases BLM who keep attacking democrats for being racist, homophobic, transphobic etc etc. Examples would be some of the BLM members who protested in front of a Clinton rally, some BLM members who hijacked the Orlando vigil, and a few others who blocked gay rights parades.
I agree that the core of the democratic party is not perfect and that they should face criticism, but this is what made them lose the elections and has made them weaker. The republicans seem to always unite behind their right wing ideologies. They always stick together when it matters and any opposition within the right is met with harsh criticism and is ostracize.
I feel like they believe in their ideologies more and are willing to fight for it more than the progressives.
Examples for the last point I made would be --
look how congress banded together and did not let Obama do his job, did not let him appoint a SC justice, look what is happening in north carolina (passing last minute laws to prevent the new democrat elect to function). Also, look how rabid and dedicated their online supporters are -- from creating cult like groups like the_donald, overtaking entire websites like youtube, reddit and even cooking up such detailed and intricate conspiracy theories.
The point I'm trying to make is that while some significant chunk of the progressives are too busy throwing a fit about a white girl wearing hair dreads and coming up with new gender pronouns they have ignored and allowed real and actual racism and extremely right wing elements to grow. Look at what's trending today on youtube, and look at the majority ALL of the comments. This is the new reality of american society thanks to years of being complacent.
Also, guys do comment what you think about this rant and link some more progressive youtube channels I can follow, website forums which are active. TYT is not the future, they are too busy fighting within the party to make any real change.
