I made a thread about this yesterday but for some reason a mod closed it so can you keep this one open please it's a medical discussion.

I started feeling a bit sick last weekend, nothing bad I just thought I had a cold coming on but on Monday I woke up with swollen glands and a really dry, sore throat and a headache. I felt really sick so I took painkillers and went back to sleep. And I then slept pretty much all day Monday/Tuesday.
On Wednesday I felt really sick and went to hospital and had blood tests and they said I had mono (
http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Glandul...roduction.aspx) and to rest at home, but by now the tiredness had worn off.
Yesterday I had to go back because it was hard to swallow and my temperature was really high but they gave me a steroid through an IV for my swollen throat and some fluids and eventually discharged me with codeine painkillers because paracetamol/ibuprofen weren't working.
Today I feel fine, only a bit of a sore throat but I don't feel tired at all. I read online about how tiredness is supposed to last for weeks but I only really felt tired for 2/3 days, was this similar for anyone else?
Any other tips on getting good recovery will also be appreciated thank you !
