Basically

I guess you could say I'm one of the generational straddlers because I'm young enough that the internet/social media was a part of my formative years, but old enough to still feel like publicized documentation of every single passing thought and mundane activity is weird, unnecessary and kinda dumb. Sometimes I feel a little old when I find myself rolling my eyes at the 20th pic popping up in my feed of someone's half eaten lunch or artfully arranged Starbucks cups. On the flip side, I really don't understand why simple technology designed for the not-so-bright general public is so hard for so many older people to grasp and gain familiarity with -- like, just read, ffs. Yeah technology definitely dates us in a lot of ways.

I work in a shoe store and when I measure kids feet, they sometimes cry because the measuring gague looks resembles an injection. So the parents literally flip out their iPhone or tablet and gives it to the kid and they shut up immediately

They even know how to operate YouTube amongst other social media apps. It's crazy. These kids are like 2-4 years old.

We joke "the phone eats first" like referencing to Asian traditions of sacrificing food to the gods and ancestors, once they have eaten, it's our turn to eat it.

yup, but i find it most surprising how i have zero clue about what's hip'n'happeing today, like i prefer being stuck in the period between 1990 and 2010 (i'm 19 )

im 22 and some of the kids under 14 in my family talk about youtubers a lot and I have no idea who most of them are
