Two weeks or two years, it's still amounted to **** so who cares.

Well, some people are using the "she only worked on it for a month so it's ok for it to be incoherent and downright bad", and I'm saying she most definitely worked on it for a longer period of time, which would nullify their argument.

But if NONE of the tracks were done in that time, I don't think it makes sense to say that it took so and so amount of time to work on the album.

Cz we know none of the tracks were done in 2010, lbr. Nicki releases an album, promotes it, goes on tour, then takes a semi-break, then begins again. But that's besides the point.

If one or two of the songs on an album were created two years ago, I understand the "it took two years to make the album" talk, but eh that's also spotty, because if she were to include a track from 09, we wouldn't say that she was working on NM4 for six/seven years.

And it doesn't take 2 years for Nicki to make an album. Lol

If she were to include a track from '09 then obviously that track has nothing to do with the album, since the album wasn't even thought of back then. So obviously she didn't start working on the album back then.

In my opinion it all starts when the artist decides to start writing for a new album. Between that time and the album release would be the album process. Of course there will be times during that period where no writing is done; (some of which due to vacation/spare time etc), but also a lot of time where no inspiration is to be found. But that doesn't change the fact that the album process is still ongoing.

You don't get the ideal ideas just like that. You have to work for it and make a lot of mistakes. Thus, I believe an album is started to be written before maybe the first track that actually appears on the album was written.

I'm just conveying that most of PFRR was written and recorded in 2012, and considering the album came out in the beginning of April and had to be completed, mastered, and pressed by early-March, and with most of the lyrics relating to events that occurred in 2012, it reinforces the point.

But this is trivial. I'm trivial.

PFRR is still one of my favorite albums ever. It had a lot of potential to be a massive rap and pop smash but it was excuted not that well and it was rushed.
