I feel like the score was somewhat underwhelming? I felt like I didn't hear it too much during the movie, unlike TFA. Might be one of the only things TFA beats Rogue One at.

I wanna hear the initial one. They changed it the last minute.
I thought it was fantastic. I too didn't get overly attached to the characters but I knew I wouldn't from the beginning because this is one story and there were so many new characters. I was much more focused on the story itself and the action. That's what I always wanted to see in a star wars movie, LOADS of action.
But yeah some of the scenes that looked iconic in the trailer would've def made it much better.
Wasn't there another scene with Krennic and Vader where they were arguing?
A scene where Jyn was walking and a TIE-fighter emerged in front of her? that was THE ****. wish that was in it.

is that true? because that would totally explain it. when i was watching the trailers the soundtrack is what stood out to me and i was so excited for that yet in the movie i didn't notice any of them
I loved it, more so than the Force Awakens. It took a lot more risk and not as cookie cutter. It actually felt some what like the prequels to me in terms of scope/visuals. It's a good thing because I happen to like certain aspects of the prequels. They are not as bad as starwars super nerds claim.
I watched it and I loved it. The first act was so confusing though because of the location jumping but it gets tighter after that. The score felt really weak and I was pretty disappointed they didn't use some of the themes for the OT characters in some scenes. Loved the cameos though! 9/10 for me but TFA > R1.
Loved the movie and loved the score. I can see how the score isn't as easy to appreciate during the movie as others... but listened to it on iTunes after the movie and love the score even more.
