Martyr of pop can only control her own output. Hunger games had the right to their soundtrack and placed it on spotify, i'd imagine it's the same for 50 SOG.

Rise wasn't actually blacklisted, it just started flopping by the time it got put on spotify so couldn't be put on today's top hits.

She's chart-oriented, but also money-oriented duh. (You should know considering Taylor Nation has probably tried to sue you at one point like all her other stans)

Her removing the music in 2014, was for the sales. A money-based decision, economics.

iTunes is beyond dead in 2016 going in 2017, so she wouldn't even get the bigger check by ignoring Spotify this time again (with her singles atleast).

Her ignoring Spotify next era would hurt her economically, and chart wise. It's either she sticks by her moral beliefs, or she sticks by the cash-cow and success maker.

Tbh, I always thought she was egotistical enough to believe she could take down spotify, and decided to do her best to do so. But now has to admit defeat.

I do think ATRL was sorta overreacting with saying Spotify was being bias against Katy though. Rise literally struggled to even go Top 200 for weeks (it was so tragic), so ofcourse she ain't getting no huge playlists. Nobody was checking for it, Million Reasons teas
