But just because they're doing so doesn't necessarily make it excellence. If it were the year of black excellence then there would be plenty of excellent black artists excelling (Jasmine Sullivan, Miguel, Melanie Fiona, etc) and not just the mainstream ones that white people like
But I guess it's the year that it's more *kewl* to like them
