Exuse me but if i want to call it MATERNITY ill call it MARTINITY LEAVE
no need to repeat it post after post. thats just being insultive. atrl members doing the most as usual
It is not insultive. It is necessary to use proper wording so that stances (like the ones you are demanding right from your first post) are clearly understood by the rest of people.
I would say a month should be given. I also think it should be an option for the father to take a years paternity if the mother would like to return to work. No reason why it should be expected for the woman to halt her career for the baby
I don't believe agreeing with the idea of getting paternity leaves makes me a SJW. In fact, I have strong disagreements with those people. What makes you assume I am a SJW exactly?
Paternity leave, yes but not as long as maternity leave obviously.
Idk how long would be a fair amount to give after a new baby. I mean employers are put in a difficult position having to replace you for the time being so it cant be too long. At the same time a parent staying with a newborn for at least a year is really beneficial. I think there should be some sort of system where jobs have daycare services so parents can be near their children without having to take leave or having to quit until the child is older.
What does this have to do with SJWs? I'm starting to think that those who are satisfied with the status quo dismiss any idea of progressive change as a "SJW" thing.
Yes, especially in this modern age. Ofcourse the mother should be able to have it longer, but it also depends on how things are handled. I know a lot of 'young' parents between 25 - 35 who chose to have a housedad instead of a housewife, because the woman has like say a 40-hour job and the male has a 16 to 24 hour job and mainly works mornings or evenings, so the father basically 'raises' the kid most of the time and these mothers just want to enjoy their kid for a while but also want to work on their careerpath on the long run and don't want to stay behind. So in those cases, it could come more in handy for the parents to arrange a longer 'leave' for the father, instead of the mother, to adjust to the new life changes.
Anyways, I think allowing maternity leave for men would decrease the wage gap between men and women and make the hiring process a more even playing field, so why not.
