There is a big debate going on right now where some believe men should be allowed maternity leave for emotionally turbulant individuals. Whats your stance?

I don't think they need as much but they should have like a month or like at least 3 weeks to be with their newborn. That's a big adjustment for a father too.

The only real solution is

STOP having monogamous relationships and STOP reproducing

A fortnight and that's it.

For a short leave like maybe one week. I don't see anything further than that

Of course. Fathers are highly important in a child's development. Although men don't deliver the baby, hence I may understand why mothers have a longer leave, fathers need to be there for supporting both the wife and the newborn child.

In Peru there is a 3-day paternity leave (ridiculously insufficient), whereas mothers get 6 months.
