Not in the UK. The media is coming down HARD on the Labour Party because they voted against bombing Assad's forces in 2013 when the Conservatives tried to get parliamentary approval for air strikes.

Personally, I think its good that Assad won, because the term "rebels" includes many extremist groups - in Syria there is over 950 various rebel groups and most of them are extremists. Im in a minority here with this opinion though

I have to agree. History proves that when the West topples the current regime and gives power to fringe groups, they later rebel and radicalize the country. If Assad is able to maintain secularism and stop radical Islam from spreading, then I say he is the lesser of two evils.

What do you think the US heavy bombing campaigns cause in densely populated Mosul with one million civilians trapped there by ISIS? I was talking in terms of all advanced countries. Americans are keeping mum atm in shame but I'm glad to see that the UK at least is willing to consider going after Assad/Putin.

I still remember that kid who the opposition beheaded, truly disgusting. I'm genuinely happy that Assad and Putin is winning the war. Idlib should follow, all terrorist in Syria must be routed.

Don't you dare put words in my mouth. I never defended Obama and yes he has failed to stand up to Putin's aggression and support for Assad's war crimes and slaughter of children. What I am saying if that our next American president has publicly embraced Putin, called him a great man and a better leader than our current US president, and has nominated as a Secretary of State an oil executive who has actively worked with Putin against American interests.
