Batch 3, Part 2
(I may have more typos than usual, @ me with your lashings if you find 'em)
Citrus - Ellis Dee
Well, I know you weren't subtweeting me because I actually found the title of your song cringey just because it was so obvious what you were referencing. Anyway, on to the entry itself. It's better written than most entries this round, from a technical point, and you have an interesting concept, I suppose. Besides for you using "baptismal", though, I can't quite point out what it is that keeps it from really engrossing me. Maybe it's the lack of repercussion from doing LSD, thus romanticizing it, that bothers me. This whole song is the high. (Unless that bridge was supposed to be the crash, but you followed it up with the pre-chorus, which makes me believe otherwise.) Still, as I said, you have better technicality than most and a not completely played out concept, so I can't ride you too much for it.
Auburn - Burnt
"Was all I needed"*/"Is all I need"*. I get an odd amusement out of "my former self can burn in hell" because it sounds so dramatic it's almost funny. Anyway, I'm going to tell you my biggest complaint for this song right now: It's too typical. Fire is a common trope in songs, and self-empowerment songs are a dime a dozen, so combining those 2 doesn't quite make it novel. You didn't give us a reason for needing to start over, and for that reason, I can't be invested in this song at all. It's too general to feel personal. This is also a very small tiny thing, but shell/hell and brain/rain aren't cute. I do stil see more from you, though, so don't think I gave up on you.
Dylobs - A Backyard Grown from Blood and Tears
You getting this exclusive new type tea from Pokemon Stars. Come ON green type! Anyway, I actually like how you told a story here, and you incorporated your type without your song being ABOUT the type; that's something else I really liked. Some particular lines I was fond of were "...where dead limbs collapse onto fallen leaves", I don't find this important to the story, but it sets a tone, and I think it reflects how the girl in this story feels. The final two lines are SO powerful as well. I enjoyed the personification of the trees, almost as if they're her friends who want to help, but don't know how. I may be giving you too much credit here, but I think this was a really well-told story. I do have some issues, such as rhyme choices (briskly, in particular, bothers me. Don't ask why because I don't know!) I am, however, willing to look that over for now!
Achilles. - Happy Little Bluebird
I feel like something changed between the last time I saw your entries to now, but I really enjoy your style this time around. Once again, I'm in love with your chorus(es) (even if unencumbered is a bit big of a word to use). You have a song that isn't convoluted in its metaphors, and it feels bittersweet to go through. I'm going to believe that was your intent, and it works wonderfully. You also captured "Flying" type in a way I wouldn't have guessed anyone to, but it makes so much sense seeing it now. I think someone may have commented on this before, but the bridge, to me, was the weakest part, but it was adequate. I'm also going to add that I don't think the repetition in the outro did nothing for me, but the question posed did. To not end this on a bad note, this was another entry from you I really enjoyed. Way to go!
8thPrince - Fourth State
I find this entry to be a tad wordy. An example of this would be the third line. I can see the idea behind it, yet I can't help but feel it could be more simply-stated. I'm also looking for the stand-out line here that really hits me, but the song is so into its concept that I don't really see it. I do appreciate the concept, by the way. (Amazingly, your entry is like UFO's entry with a wider vocabulary.) You have your technicalities down, but something feels very impersonal here. Maybe it's the vocabulary I mentioned earlier.
Legacy - The Fire is Melting
"Push me, drag me, slap me/Until I feel the cube melting in me" this is making me cackle Actually, this whole entire thing has me SHOOK, half-tempted to give you a 10 on that alone. However, this ignores a lot of technical things, like I didn't get a sense of rhythm at all in the verses. I enjoyed your entry for the novelty of it, if it's any consolation.

here's the hierarchy Temporal set up for this round
Shiny legendary
Legendary
Shiny third stage
Third stage
Shiny second stage
Second stage
Shiny first stage
First stage
And although it's never got to that point, I think baby pokemon (shiny, then regular) may be after that.
My hints start at shiny legendary and end at shiny second stage. I know this means nothing to someone who isn't into Pokemon, though.

Oh, and being on the same row means you tied, just in case someone didn't get that yet.

I get the hierarchy part, because I'm a sucker for Pokemon lol, but I checked back on your reviews, and like, u didn't include any pokemon avatar next to your reviews. My question would be how do we guess who is who? like ughgabriel just did

Since my song is a water type...clearly I should be Vaporeon.

It even has its own mug to go with my "Coffee" song!
