Cheap Thrills is such a fun song I wish it had a higher spot but it's fine.

Love Katy but Rise wasn't a good song so I paid ha dust this year. Really nothing good I can say about it.
Ready for Fergie's album, I know plenty are already over this "era" but she's 3/3 for me (including Hungry.)
|
Flop
Nothing good to say about her either
Hungry Goodness I totally forgot about that slayage

Do I spy 80s Mercedes being compared favorably to our lord? Gross I'm triggered.

Never Forget You, Make Me... and Too Good are all solid, enjoyable collabs

roses (feat. rozes)
the chainsmokers
Bouquet - EP
peak: 6 weeks: 14 (3 in top ten)
2015: Sugar - Maroon 5
Look at those douchebaggy faces. Ok, but this song is not bad. The girl's voice is pretty spacy while creates a nice atmosphere, and the production serves to elevate it. The slow buildup before the drop is evocative, which lends depth to this Lungcancers song.

ain't my fault
zara larsson
Single
peak: 6 weeks: 13 (so far)
2015: Jealous - Nick Jonas
Compared to her other singles, this sounds like it was literally ripped straight from Rihanna. She's most like other artists here, but she owns it very well. The hook may be a tad underwhelming, but she pretty much delivers everywhere else.
48
óveđur
sigur rós
Single
peak: 1 (x2) weeks: 8 (5 in top ten)
2015: Beautiful Now (feat. Jon Bellion) - Zedd
If you thought Kveikur was dark, this is a whole new level of dark. The dissonant and jarring second half of the song is hard to get used to, but once you let yourself fall into it, you're once again immersed in the vast and indescribable landscape of Sigur Rós music.

22 (over s∞∞n)
bon iver
22, A Million
peak: 1 (x1) weeks: 14 (9 in top ten)
2015: R.I.P. 2 My Youth - The Neighbourhood
This is the song to bridge people over from old Justin to new Justin. The crackling and looped samples are strange and experimental, unlike anything in his repertoire, but it's still smooth and soothing, something that is familiar for him. What you get is proof that despite the sonic risks Bon Iver is taking, they can still create a melodic piece that calms your mind.
46
work (feat. drake)
rihanna
ANTi
peak: 5 weeks: 15 (5 in top ten)
2015: Nonsense (feat. Mark Foster) - Madeon
It's pretty crazy how far this song has come. When it first dropped, we were trying to figure out what she was saying, what is going on with Rih and Drake, what is going on with R8 etc. And then the album got leaked and the song smashed like no other. And there was the videos that were way too simple but garnered so much attention. And now it's topping a couple of year-end lists. I really don't want to say that this is a really great song objectively, but considering what a mammoth of a song this is...
45
wolves without teeth
of monsters and men
Beneath the Skin
peak: 15 weeks: 12
2015: Same Old Love - Selena Gomez
This is perhaps one of their more darker songs? Not just thematically, but sonically with it's wailing guitars, I feel like I've never heard it coming from them before. Their music usually makes you feel like you're in an Appalachian range, but this song sounds like you just fell into a deep dark hole. And I love that intensity.
44
cool girl
tove lo
Lady Wood
peak: 1 (x2) weeks: 12 (6 in top ten)
2015: Confident - Demi Lovato
Lots of people have a problem with the song's chorus, as they hope for a huge catchy chorus or some fulfilling drop. But I love it? That plus the lyrical content intrigues me so much into the song and the persona Tove is trying to project (which actually is kinda boring, stretched out way too thinly with that film project). But yeah, after listening to this you better wish that you could be a crazy cool girl too.
43
that's my girl
fifth harmony
7/27
peak: 3 weeks: 10 (so far)
2015: Shut Up and Dance - Walk the Moon
This song's main winning point is their relatively even distribution of singing between each of the girls. Despite the chorus being a little grating, it's still an anthemic and fun tune. And let us congratulate Camila, as she has no solo verses in here but STILL manages to annoy the **** out of everyone.
42
out of the woods
taylor swift
1989
peak: 3 weeks: 11 (7 in top ten)
2015: Pay No Mind (feat. Passion Pit) - Madeon
I was about to kill Taylor for releasing this as a single! Yes it's one of the best on 1989 but as a single? As a what we thought was the last single? No! New Romantics was sitting there waiting but noooo you decided to screw not one but both singles over. And now you've got two flop singles ending what's supposed to be one of the biggest eras in music. Bitch.
41
chewing gum
nina nesbitt
Modern Love - EP
peak: 2 weeks: 14 (9 in top ten)
2015: See You Again (feat. Charlie Puth) - Wiz Khalifa
I think I liked this song mainly because it sounds just like Talking Body. It's catchy and all, but that was probably the reason why I kept coming back to it.

What makes you think Camila annoys anyone during "That's My Girl"? Maybe she annoys you, not anyone else. She slays!
