I've been reading about the Mandela Effect for some time now, but I have never experienced one myself. The closest one for me is Interview with A/The Vampire, as well as Hillary changing to Hilary and then Hillary again. Now, someone said the UK flag has changed. I don't really remember it so I'm asking people from the UK, how do you remember the UK flag?

They say the lines have changed from being symmetrical to asymmetrical. What do you guys think?

Mandela Effect is the name given to this theory. It originated when many people remembered him dying years ago in prison.

I'm not from the UK, but I've always remembered the lines to be asymetrical.

I swear it was symmetrical. I remember colouring them in Primary school and not knowing which colour went where.

Even last week when I was teaching I showed the class a picture of the flag and it didn't look like that

The lines have never been symmetrical. Ever. The cross of Saint Patrick line has to touch the top left of the flagpole, a lot of the flags are hoisted incorrectly. It's always been like that (since the Union of GB and Ireland, that is).

Or that my grandma wore Depend underwear and not "Depends/Depend's."

Ps./ No, the lines were never symmetrical. Same as there were never 51 or 52 states in Murica.
