Poor workers.

They were probably sent there by the Job Centre, I was unemployed before Christmas last year and they were desperate to push me into working at Amazon. If they leave this job they'd have no income for a month whilst they're punished by the Government for "choosing" to quit. They're probably supporting a family or something and can't afford to not have this job.

Kinda. They're special buses that go directly to and from the Amazon warehouse, my brother works there and if he opts in I'm pretty sure it's deducted straight from his wages.
The issue is that the staff are practically forced to work there by the Government, and Amazon are well aware that staff are earning less than the minimum wage to be treated like crap once you include travel expenses.
