The weird thing is ATRL didn't even become a haven for white gays until TRL ended and even more so around 2010 (when Gaga came around and pop was ruling the charts). I've been here way too long so I've seen how this site has changed so much over time lol. And I think the closing of the NHB and censorship kind of further changed the culture.

Before 2010 it was alot more black gays/Urban fans(alot of Ci and Bey stans) and alternative/rock fans. Someone made a thread linking another thread talking about gay marriage from like 2007 or something and it was so weird reading how many members here felt about gay people in general.

Yeah, I pretty much joined when ATRL right before it was starting to shift more towards a pop fan site. I lurked around in 2008 but didn't join until later.

I don't see how it's possible not to be aware of the demographic here within 30 minutes of reading unless you just flat out don't understand certain references and lingo, even then it shouldn't take more than a few days to pick up on it with all the LGBT focused discussions that pop up.
