Yeah, sure the vocals suck almost but I'd say they've solidified their place as distinct R&B stylists with these drowsy vocals over some bouncy early-'80s productions with their own spin. I just found myself comīng back to a lot of tracks more than I expected.

13. Chance The Rapper, Coloring Book [Mixtape]

I love Majid Jordan's album too! Though my top faves were different from yours, I don't think the album has really any fault.

Maxwell - totally agree about your description. Lake by the Ocean is a highlight single of the year.

Also enjoyed The 1975 & Chance's albums, for pretty much your exact reasons. Need to check out Jessica Rabbit since they're always hit/miss for me, and I found Mitzi's album to truly be the most overrated release of the year :/ Sorry.

Mitski is amaze. Bruno 1975 and KING have good albums with one or two amazing songs in them.
