Why does ATRL have a problem with Lemonade's Critical acclaim?

She has the highest metacritic rating of any pop star in recent years with a score 92. Yet ATRL continues to discredit her by claiming "reviews don't matter", "she paid for it" & "metacritic isn't trustworthy" etc.

Beyonce also topped the majority of the album lists & yet many continue to deny it's success with claims of she used a fake narrative for acclaim, when most songs aren't about real situations or even the artist. Beyonce also never said anything about being cheated on.

Finally what they love to do is claim that lemonade is written by white men, when in fact almost 80% of the writing credits including sample are of black ethnicity with a couple of other non-BPoC. With the vast majority of credits being due to sampling of multiple tracks:

So why does ATRL continue to act like lemonade is trash & not one of the most acclaimed album's in history?

it's highly praised on atrl though. some of us just don't like the music, why is that so upsetting?

It's an okay album, she herself has better albums though. It's a bit overrated

ATRL stans for albums like EMOTION. The problem is in them.

Because it's overrated. Bey sang it and got a 90+ MC score because of her aggressively-potrayed "legendary" image.

There is a big difference between saying "hey it's not for me, but I appreciate why others might like it" and saying delusional stuff like "Lemonade is trash & is written by white men" or "Metacritic is bais/she paid them".

And it's not upsetting to me, i'm just curious as to why bey continue to make some of y'all seethe.

Shouldn't 25 & 1989 have a significantly high metacritic score then?

We all know it's acclaimed. That doesn't mean everyone has to like it or worship it like it's some kind of second coming.

ATRL is bothered by everything related to Beyoncé, a shame

honestly, the album is good. but I'm fed up of the media constantly telling me how much of a god beyonce is and how I have to worship the ground she walks on, so I tend to shade her. Nothing to do with the album itself.

It's a good album (although it has little replay value) but it's like the GP and critics are shoving it down everyone's throats with all the awards and critics giving it high praise (do they really feel that way about the album tho or is it just to make them feel good?). Not to say that it doesn't deserve praise or acclaim but they're making it out to be this Holy Gospel when it's not. And there has better albums than Lemonade released this year IMO.

Doesn't help that the Hive are also using these "but Lemonade is critically acclaimed and one of the highest-selling albums of 2016!!!!!!" thing in every single thread to undermine other artists who also did well. I mean if Rih had put out an album Lemonade, the Hive would tear her down (as usual) for it.

Because some people don't credit her vision and focus in details like writing credits etc etc.

Also because the 25% of the hive is insufferable tbh.

And I think this... this is the real tea that no one talks about. I don't think many of the other stans expected her to find a way to keep moving in spite of everything but lemme hush lol.

The Hive + I don't think it warrants its MC score/super acclaim

I like the album but the propaganda is bigger than the album itself. As for the "then why are 25 and 1989 lower on MC huh???" Because those albums do not have a hot button political theme and are tame.

Self Titled and 4 are both more listenable and just more cohesive in general and neither performed as well critically.

Because a lot of ATRLers hate talent.

For once, she has better albums than Lemonade.

Swifties shoved us with that Teenage Dream 2.0 rehash album. At least this time this is deserved.
