Aint Your Mama is ok

My queen dropped a charity single this year written by Diane Warren for the Yulin dog festival in China. It was a heartfelt single that showcased her godly vocals and kind of quenched my Leona thirst in between albums. Looking forward to what she has in store for us in 2017.










Fifth Harmony are going Urban and that's the kind of sound that suits them best. I love how each one of the girls shines equally on the song and serves looks left, right and centre. 'Work from Home' has that laid back feeling to it with a hard-hitting and extremely infectious hook that won't leave your head for days.









I did not initially plan on including this one on my chart but when I gave it a listen again while going through all the singles I considered, I just couldn't help myself. You can't just ignore Christina's crazy powerful yet soothing vocals on this one. Not a fan of Nile Rogers' dated productions but it weirdly works on this one.










Another 'Lemonade' appearance on my chart and this time it's the breezy 'Hold Up'. I took this one with a grain of salt the first time I heard it, considering it was written by Diplo and I do not wish to comment on his productions in general . Luckiliy, Bey has a great ear and knows how to bring something to life that would otherwise soound completely off if some other artist did it.









Ariana's second single from 'Dangerous Woman' had us all singing along to its ultra catchy chorus all summer long. A classic pop song from a powerhouse vocalist that was meant to achieve a lot more than it actually did on the charts.

Into You as well deserved to smash over Side to Side

I had three phases with Ariana - I hated her during the 'Yours Truly' era, became a fan with 'My Everything' and I am now a stan with 'Dangerous Woman'. Top notch productions, great lyrics, just as powerful vocals as ever and I love how urban the majority of the record is compared to her previous more pop influenced albums.

Standout tracks: Sometimes, Touch It, Knew Better/Forever Boy, Moonlight







I don't know whether a live video for a pop song had premiered before this one came out but I'm ready to give credit where it's due. I absoultely loved the concept of a live video and to pull that off like that rquires nothing but talent . Quite a lot of effort and thought when into this one, too sad people paid it dust.

Great set Dangerous Woman is amazing and Make Me Like You has a great video, I loved the idea and how it was executed.
I didn't listen... yet.

DW is amazing
7/27 has many bops perfect for dancing but overall it was a 7/10 for me.
