It sort of rubs me the wrong way when celebrities of this nature (or really anyone for that matter) say things like "This is for anyone who's been bullied! This is for anyone who has been called fat! This is for anyone who is a daughter! I am doing this for you!"

When the actual issue this is all over is people not being here for a very crude comedienne being up for a iconic character for little girls. Amy is great at times, but you are allowed to not like her and not be inherently sexist. This isn't humanitarian work, this is the GP smelling a messy flop and trying to nip it in the bud.
