Well I am surprised considering the US has the best universities in the world.
I am not surprised for Singapore to lead though as education is seen as the most important thing here

I would imagine the results would be similar at older age. You are correct, millions of people take massive amounts of loan to get a college degree. And they will be paying their debt back for a long ass time.

But this is a test for 15-year-old's Higher education is for people aged 18+ And when it comes to higher education the US/UK universities slay everyone else

the USA is #24 out of 70 in reading and #40 out of 70 in maths

and also we don't study "maths" just math so that explains the top 10 snub
