64 years ago there was a court ruling to establish that the separation of blacks and whites in schools was unconstitutional. When you treat a group of people like subhumans for over a century there is bound to be a bitter taste and messy aftermath. Racial tension in America is completely understandable considering there are minorities people alive today who were literally not allowed to receive the education as their white peers.

Race runs deep in this society. The Jim Crow laws existed up until 1965... that's only 50 years ago. There are still segregated communities to this day, so yeah race will always be an issue here. It's gonna take a loooong time until it doesn't become one.

Eh, I kinda get it. Parents love lying to their kids about Santa so once youve hammered in the traditional image of Santa then take them to the mall and find a black one they might be a bit confused. The whole idea of him is trash though, just scrap it.

This reminds me of this white couple who walked out of the Frozen show at Disneyland California because Anna was black. I mean I get it because their daughter grew up with the white one but it wasn't big deal to me at all. The girl could SING.
