Avatar has a more unpredictable plot, more unique and dynamic characters and better visuals. Titanic is much more emotional and more of a classic. Titanic is overall better, imo.

Titanic is objectively better. Avatar is unoriginal (it's a Pocahontas rip-off) and only notable for its visual effects which are no longer groundbreaking. There's nothing to praise anymore except for its past innovations.

And for the record, the Chainsmokers are subpar artists who can neither create an album nor record a video and Florida Georgia Line are singles artists who rehash most of their hits (and I say that as a FGL fan). Objectivity can be reached by any group of people.

But Titanic keeps making Best Movies of All Time lists to this day, while Avatar doesn't 7 years after release
