why did she have a backdrop of cruel headlines at her AMA performance, and why did she wear a dress made of newspaper clippings with cruel headlines in a room with walls made of headlines. It's the definition of logic.

Isn't DWUW about how she's brushing off the assault she experienced? That no matter what you do to her body, she still has her voice and her heart? Forgetting the video she made (and NEVER released) just to be provocative, how I interpreted it was always as her way of saying the assault she suffered does not and cannot take away what's inside. Can you all stop doing the most and twisting the whole situation? So many other songs she released before DWUW have hinted at her being raped, and it seems very unlikely she has been lying about it for 8 years.
