There's not enough Satanist or Buddhist in France to justify such symbols. I'm unsure about this, laïcité is not about pretending religion isn't there, we only want to keep it away from the public sphere, as in not being able to "tell" what religion a person believes in (among other things). Church, Mosques and Synagogues are seen too.
