I wouldn't be so sure about that, because there's plenty of buzz for her performances in Arrival and Nocturnal Animals.

Also, she was nominated five times already. That alone is an achievement in itself!

It's how funny how much Hollywood (and the world) rallied around Leo DiCaprio and pratically DEMANDED for him to get an Oscar earlier this year (for years really) yet Amy who is grateful, graceful, talented and just a nice woman in general who has delivered just as many great performances that didn't get Oscars as Leo (I personally think she's a waaay better actress than he is), gets not even 1/3 of that support.

She's so underrated, but she's never given a bad performance. She's the only performer I remember from all the movies i've seen her in. I watched American Hustle and I don't even remember what the movie was about, but I remember her in it.

She was beyond amazing in Arrival. One of her best roles.

The thing about Amy is that her talent, grace, and humility guarantee that she'll continue to work for years to come, so I feel certain she'll win an Oscar eventually. She might even be 70, but it'll happen. Everyone she works with has great things to say and critics love her. There's obviously misogyny and ageism in the industry, but I think she'll be the lucky few who will always have work.
