I mean its great and all that shes socially/politically knowledgeable and philanthropic but I wish she'd separate that from her music sometimes. I think with Joanne she tries too hard to like..appeal to a broad demographic and spread this one sort of lame message of kindness because she feels like its her obligation with all of her fame and im just like....just make an album dude. Stop trying to save the world with a corny ballad and just make a record. If she didn't have that intention set in her mind through the process of every song she would probably inadvertently make one anyway. Anthems and songs of change that actually matter are not meticulously crafted to do so. She thinks too much. Whereas with The Fame+Monster it all just vomited out of her naturally through her ambition and passion thus why those are her most successful efforts. Not that I don't like the rest of her discography but theres just always this obvious sense of her adamantly trying to come across a certain way as opposed to just being now. And that started amidst The Fame Monsters immense popularity and never went away.
