It better not, I'm really rooting for him! Denzel Washington is only his real competition but Washington's reviews are not as enthusiastic as his. On the plus side, he is really sweeping the early awards

So I have never been interested in the Oscars race even though I watch every year. But you guys in this thread have me SO SO hyped for Emma vs Natalie (previously Viola ) and I am so stoked!

He's actually the current frontrunner to win now since Neeson doesn't seem to be as undeniable as expected.

Natalie is definitely not winning now, she needed Jackie to be at least in the high 80s and it might not even be nominated for Best Picture at this point considering it's a "cold" film entirely about a woman (Carol says hi with its 95MC score).

She cannot compete with Emma in the BP frontrunner and does anyone actually think Natalie Portman deserves to win another Oscar when she has given like one great performance (If that) in her entire career?
