So now that i got the positive post out the way.
People talk about how Britney Jean era was damaging and how Femme fatale had damaging moments.
THIS era was the one era where her audience and even those that were not fans but followed her story WERE INTERESTED in music that would serve introspection and retrospection over the crazy circus of her life.
Turning a bad circus nightmare into a triumphant circus event.
She addressed it on songs like Womanizer, circus, out from under, kill the lights and shattered glass
But it was surface level.
They needed to dig deeper and really address it to make more impact on the message. The one song that does cover it was Out from under which was sung with almost no emotion.
Had they removed throwaway tracks like Rock me in, Lace and leather, mannequin and mmm papi and replaced them with stronger songs that address the turbulent times (not just sad songs but triumphant songs)
this era would have been a stronger era.
Also release schedule should have gone as follows:
1st single Circus
2nd single Womanizer
3rd single Unusual you
4th single if u seek amy
re-release with 3
close the album with Blur or one of the tracks that would replace the songs i suggested be removed.
2x platinum album.
But I'm glad it was a good album with a few great moments (unusual you, blur, womanizer, shattered glass etc.)
