Boy 14, shot dead his mother & brother 8, then blame his Dad
Boy, 14, 'shot dead his mother and brother, EIGHT, execution style while they slept then tried to blame his father for the murders'
- Jacob Remaley, 14, charged as an adult with two counts each of criminal homicide and third-degree murder
- Remaley has allegedly confessed to shooting dead his mother, Dana Remaley, 46, and brother, Caleb Remaley, 8, in their sleep

State police say Jacob later confessed that he took an unloaded handgun from atop the refrigerator, loaded it and shot 46-year-old Dana Remaley and Caleb Remaley in their beds after his father, David, went to work.

David Remaley had left the house to go to work at around 5.40am and was not harmed.
On Wednesday, the 14-year-old suspect was charged as an adult with two counts each of criminal homicide and third-degree murder. He is expected to be formally arraigned following the completion ofan unspecified medical treatment and a mental health evaluation.
Limani says the only indication of a motive is that the teen and his parents weren't getting along lately, but by all accounts, Jacob and his younger brother were on good terms.
According to a probable cause affidavit cited by TribLive.com, Jacob shot first his mother, then his brother in the forehead with a Ruger .380 handgun inside the family's home on Thermo Village Road in New Stanton just before 7am.
At 6.53am, Jacob made a 911 call telling a dispatcher that his father had shot his mother and brother.
'Why didn't he kill me? I need help,' Remaley was quoted in the affidavit as telling the operator.
He then hung up the phone, but called back a short time later, loudly accusing the operator of hanging up on him and demanding that an ambulance be sent to his home.

The responding paramedics handed Remaley a blanket, after which he went back inside the house.
Before troopers arrived, Jacob apparently retrieved the handgun and was walking down the street carrying it when he encountered a female neighbor, police said.
That neighbor told the boy she loved him and convinced him to discard the gun and approach officers. Jacob said in reply, 'I love my mom, too,' reported the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
'That neighbor did a very good job in de-escalating the situation,' Limani said. 'The last thing we want to do is approach a 14-year-old with a firearm.'
Jacob Remaley was later taken to a hospital where he was questioned by police and made his confession, according to the affidavit.

A friend of the family described Jacob as a polite, kind, straight-A student who was involved in sports and in church.
Anita Stoner told WTAE-TV her son is a good friend of the boy's, and she was friends with Dana Remaley.
'He's such a good kid,' she said. 'If you could pick a friend for your kid it would be Jacob.'

That's sick and really sad. He's going to spend the rest of his life regretting that. Everyone has moments with their parents, especially when you're a teenager, but you never harm them.
