All HIV tests are always handled in a confidential way. We aren't allow to disclose a person's status unless that person decides to disclose it himself.

Some got some new fun facts for people living in the United States.
The rates for MSM have gone up immensely for HIV and other STDS.
By the end of 2020 if rates continue 1 in 4 latino males and 1 in 2 black males will be infected with the virus, gay or straight. The number of women who have the virus is going down.
The raising rates is due to the fact that even though prep prevents you from getting it, if a undectable HIV positive person picks up another STD, the amount of HIV infection in their lymphatic nodes go up increasing the spread to others.
Secondly if you are on PREP and the person you are dating is on Truvada and isn't taking their meds like they should. You are at risk to getting HIV and prep being ineffective. Thats how people on PREPhave been getting HIV from resistant strains of people not taking meds like they are suppose to.
Those in relationships with HIV + people aren't getting it from their partners but others due to the lack of monogamy. That puts their HIV partners more so at risk as now they make pick up a strain that is resistant to their medicines putting their health at risk. Make sure you fix that.
For those of you in the US and want to join the military, you have an opportunity in the upcoming few months as they are trying to get rid of the regulation stating if you are HIV you can not join. It will be on the basis of your CD4 count and if you are already receiving treatment before joining the military.

In the United States, they don't know how its spreading so much even amongst the heterosexual community...they are speculating prison and rape as in part of the spread and self segregation within communities where you just continuously pass it to each other.
But very scary statistic

Always wear a condom while having sex.
Thank you for the "fun" facts, btw.

Another fun fact is now you can 100% and safely have your own biological children HIV free without spreading it to your wife or to a surrogate without using Sperm washing.
Your wife or surrogate will need to be on PREP for 3 months EVERYDAY before the act of insemination as well as the HIV + person ensuring they are not resistant to prep and that they are daily taking their medication. Make sure to go to the doc to see if they can make sure its in the blood. You do the act and they continue taking prep until its confirmed the egg is fertilized. They then take prep for one more month then they can stop. This has been proven to be effective with no mothers or babies being born with HIV and been a go through method since March for males with HIV. Females with HIV is simpler as long as they take their meds it will not be passed on to the child.

I'm sorry to bring this topic up and disturb, a couple months ago I had rapid hiv test (10 minutes result test) that includes hiv, another one for syphilis, and hepatitis c. I came negative for all and I don't have any sorts of symptoms. Even in the encounter there was a usage of condom but the lube was used was spit. But for some reason, every-time the topic gets brought or all the sudden, I get this panic attack and i become extremely scared and I end up crying or shaking. Should I retake another test, or what's wrong with me ?

Hey sis! Good to see you around!
Don't worry, your post fits this thread perfectly.
Well first of all, nothing is wrong with you. It's actually normal. Over the years I've got so many messages on here which were similar to yours. People are scared cause they can't control and see IT.
I would recommend you to do another test. At least an HIV test cause rapid tests are not accurate and since you're very frightened by the whole thing It would make even more sense to re-do It.
If an immunoassay is conducted during the window period (i.e., the period after exposure but before the test can find antibodies), the test may not find antibodies and may give a false-negative result. All immunoassays that are positive need a follow-up test to confirm the result.
You better do another one just to be sure.
If you need to talk, my inbox is always ready for your thoughts. And don't worry, babe.

You know I am ASTOUNDED at the # of people on Grindr that ask to have bareback with you. Never ever trust anyone that you don't know. Always wears a condom. These people that want bareback without knowing you disgust me.

You mean you've got tested at least 3 months after your unsafe encounter? Then you can be pretty sure you're fine.
Still, try to take a somewhat regular HIV test. Every 6 - 12 months would be perfect when you're sexually active.

it was a safe encounter since he used a condom but he used spit as a lube, but my complains here about my safety rate. Anyways, thank you for your reply. I just hate my panic attacks and fears. Like every-time the word hiv, or std, or illness gets mentioned, I get all sweaty and shaky and upset. I feel like passing out.

Oh sis I totally ignored the fact you were playing safe.
You don't have to be afraid then. It's all in your head. Still: do regular tests.
