My flatmates are so loud and lack courtesy. I can tolerate it because we just share the living room though. Does anyone have the same problem?

My parents are super nice when I visit for Thanksgiving or spring break. 2 weeks into summer and they start showing their true colors though I so don't want to ever live with them permanently again.
