Yeah, it only works when the songs have payola already & they can put them in higher positions if people request it a lot I guess, but they are definitely not playing it if it doesn't have some sort of payola involved or if it becomes and inescapable hit that they have no other choice than to play it (which definitely isn't MR case ).

KIIS is the station that added Applause to power rotation in late October/early November even when DWUW was starting to take off, so anything can happen i guess
