Ummm the Philistines were in Palestine, they were even mentioned in the Bible. The Arabic word for Palestine/Palestinians is literally Filesteen/Filesteneeya. They were always there. The same Location: Israel members on this site always appear to spread misinformation to cover up the war crimes the Israeli government commits. It's sad that they drink the kool aid that their government provides them with. It's like Turkish members on here denying the Armenian genocide because their government teaches them that it didn't happen when it did.

04- Who does the bolded "they" refer to? You're absolutely right if you're talking about the Israeli government, and you're absolutely wrong otherwise.
(i.e. 2009 Tel Aviv gay centre shooting, Gay Pride Parade stabbings, top Rabbi advocating death among homosexuals, etc.)

I know nothing about the Israel / Palestine conflict. It's just one of those things that was never covered in my education, and it's such a big thing that I don't even know where to begin in regards to educating myself on it.

Jews deserve to have a country of their own. Somewhere they can live where anti-semitism doesn't exist. Palestine should be dissolved and the people should be relocated to other parts of the Levant. Unfortunately, at this time, a lot of those countries are disasters, which makes this difficult.

This is probably one of the easier places to start.

To be fair. Palestinians were living there before. And understandly didn't know how to navigate the British Imperial machine.

The pressure of the just occurred Holocaust and religious differences didn't help either. This whole thing has been a wrong place, wrong time kind of thing. But really, one side has got to bring down its hubris. Because war in this day and age is not a viable option. So it'll have to be diplomacy.

Jewish people deserve their own state, I completely agree. And they got one. But what I don't agree with is settling on lands that don't officially belong to them, and then annexing it like it was always theirs. We had a problem with Russia doing this in Crimea, but it gets brushed under the rug when Israel does it.

And before the Location: Israel squad brings up the wars against Israel where they won land in the aftermath, that's not what I'm talking about, so don't try to deflect my previous statement with that tired excuse.
