If an artist gives you three albums that does not meet your tastes, do you still stan hard for that artist?

For example: Coldplay : Viva La Vida, Ghost Stories and A Head Full of Dreams

Thankfully, Britney only gave me one bad album in her entire career.

After two bad albums in a row, I'm out.

Femme Fatale and Britney Jean were bad enough to be considered three and my ****** ass is still here so

Those Coldplay albums aren't even bad, hun.

Anyway, if it's someone like Madonna or Mariah with several good albums, then yes. But if ur an artist with like 5 or 6 albums (or less) and you have 3 bad ones, then yea, i'm out.

Mariah has no bad albums. Shakira only has two bad albums. Britney only has 1 bad album and Gaga only has 2. My other two alternative queens have NO bad albums. I'm doing pretty fine.

I can't conceive of the day when I'll turn my back on any of my faves. Most of them have been around for a while and the majority of their work has given me so much joy. I think I'll always be there the moment a new album comes out, even if I didn't like whatever preceded it. I'd feel like I wasn't being loyal to them after all the years of happiness they've provided. I'd never count them out of being able to thrill me again.

Even an underwhelming album typically has some gems. But idk, luckily I've never been in a situation where a fave has released an album that I hate entirely, let alone three.

Viva La Vida is NOT bad.

Ghost Stories and AHFoD are, though. Some gems but overall pretty bad compared to CP's earlier work, they lost a lot of their core fanbase with ghost Stories.

Anyway no, I wouldn't stan. I'd still be moderately interested in the artist, though.

Britney came close with FF and BJ but then Glory came and it's all good!

It really depends on how early it happens in their career.

I only care about singles. I don't buy albums.

Depends how early or late in their career the bad albums happen. And even then I'll still be able to enjoy their older quality material. Like I don't really check for Gaga anymore. I'm rooting for her to release something good again, but it just hasn't happened yet. That doesn't take away from my enjoyment of her past work and my recognition of her talent.
