In 2016 it's obvious that Tumblr style SJWs experiencing their peak.
I feel like all the plantkin and "they / them" teens will eventually grow up and the world will move on.
Emos were massive in the 2000s, peaked in 2006, and had basically fizzled out by 2010.
A lot of former emos (grownups now) cringe and regret their past, will history soon repeat itself?

Emo didn't have impact on the real world but these sjws are getting out of control and influencing even mainstream media thanks to stupid sites like Buzzfeed

I didn't want to insult Emos, I personally am in awe of their style and unique, individual outfits, it was just that emos in 2000s were the progressives, and so many of them were openly bi/curious, for sure SJWs are more aggressive, but they can be likened to emos in some ways. (again not hating on emos, my sister was one from december 2004 until november 2007)
But no, the "SJWs" have gone from something great to a messy and overanalyzed movement of people yearning to be different. And in their effort to do so, they tear every single person around them down, effectively ruining their original goal.
Emos are great but SJWs on the other hand are actually dangerous.
I do see the comparison tho. SJWs will probably, hopefully fizzle out soon as a new subculture gains momentum.
Kind of like how everyone used to want to be a hipster. Some still do, I guess.
