I'm kind of salty about it, but okay with it at the same time because I no longer have to explain it when I use it. But I was blown away when, to my surprise, one of my super masc straight coworkers said "Oooh, are you throwing shade, Dale?" to me a few months ago. I was like, "How the **** do you know that phrase, sis?" but of course he didn't understand the sis part so he isn't one of us.
