According to a statement issued by President-elect Donald Trump, a plan to recount of votes cast in the 2016 election in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, is a “scam by the Green Party.”
The Trump recount comments continued, with the president-elect describing the results of the election as having already been “conceded.”
Trump contended that the move by Green Party leader Dr. Jill Stein challenges and abuses the results of the election and stated that they should be “respected.”

Earlier today, 2016 Democratic presidential nominee and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed support for the Green Party’s Recount 2016 initiative.
“We believe we have an obligation to the more than 64 million Americans who cast ballots for Hillary Clinton to participate in ongoing proceedings to ensure that an accurate vote count will be reported,” Mark Elias, a lawyer with the Democrat said of the Clinton recount view.
President-elect Trump noted in his statement that Jill Stein wasn’t on the ballot in several states and that she captured less than one percent of the popular vote. Trump accused the Stein recount plan of being a ploy to “fill her coffers with money,” which the president-elect, who recently settled a $25 million fraud lawsuit, as reported by the Inquisitr, contends will never be spent on what he sees as a “ridiculous recount.”
