Italy is a nice country but it is VERY backwards when it comes to women rights, gay rights and traditional views in general. You damn well know it. It's probably the least open-minded western European country.
Also, no. Switzerland, Australia, Singapore and Spain all are ranked higher than Italy in the longest life expectancy list by the World Health Organization.
