But that's what I'm saying. TPP sold 700K with a messy singles campaign. And it's gotten over 500M streams because well, she's Top 3 female streaming artists in the US.
And 2828282 rappers have surprise released this year. Future, Gucci Mane, etc.

Honestly Nicki will never have a big debut week again, maybe with a surprise release but that's the only way with the sales climate.

All of her first weeks are great if you consider the sales climate and they will continue to be.

Can she just post that mannequin challenge video already?

Since RR, Nicki has been selling like Rihanna & that is not a compliment for an A list mainstream urban RAPPER like Nicki.

Ok.. well I guess that's who she should be compared to then since she can't outsell the guys anymore.

Woo.
There's shade to be thrown, but I won't do it. Not on Pink Friday.

Ariana? (169K sales)
Meghan Trainor? (238K SPS)
Taylor? (+1M sales)
And even if she released in 2015, that 198K/250K SPS opening STILL would've been Top 3 among women.
You realize that Pink Friday is the second highest opening for a female Rap album (after Lauryn), and yet that's still nothing compared to the highest opening weeks for the guys?
Don't be dense.

Just post what you have to post. Nothing worse than a "I have something to say but let me not" ass bitch.

Those 50K SEA/TEA units are actually so impressive for a 2014 release, especially when she didn't have a hit anymore by that time.. Even today most artists aren't reaching that.
Imagine how much she'd do today...

You're comparing her with pop stars who have never opened with over 300k no matter what the climate was.
& didn't PF outsell most male rappers & arttists in general that year?

Her first week #s will definitely be interesting! I honestly think a surprise release is her best bet because the features/soundcloud era isn't generating nearly as much hype as 2014.
And yes, I know we're only two songs in, but let's see how it plays out.

!!!
The Pinkprint had 17M streams first week. That's absolutely INSANE for a 2014 release. And the fact that the album is still doing +5M streams WEEKLY is
For context, these are the streams this week for other Hip-Hop albums. The number in the brackets are streams.

Funny how the discussion was strictly about sales & the only receipts worth discussing are the streams.
Slay at the topic change.

Hun, I cannot pretend to care about first week sales in 2016. I'm being super serious.

This archaic mindset makes no sense. I respect you, so I'm not going to be disrespectful, but come on, lol.

If y'all don't care about sales, why discuss them in the first place?
I get she's a streaming monster but damn.
