They don't like it if they feel like they are more than capable to sing at least 2-3 lines per song.
Though there are exceptions like Dahyun who I love but she should be happy she's getting SOME lines.

In the Mr.Mr. comeback she complained about not having enough lines, and because of that, she ended up with the 2nd most lines in the next single, only behind Taeyeon (despite being dance line).

Dahyun really won me over with that stupid bunny dance
1. girls were getting kicked out of the group and YG because they didn't like the dating ban and wanted the D rather than do the time get rich and get better quality D.
2. Everyone and they mama decided to do big girl groups. YG Doesn't follow trends and he has made that clear.
3. This was the group originally decided on back in day before YG changed plans to a big group. He just went back to his old plans.
