Haven't seen the first yet, but it looks way to cheaply made, I understand how a movie kills a classic, but when you have a ****** budget and cheesy scenes, this movie did justice. Eh.
I only went to see this because of the RE4 trailer and they showed it. It looked kick-ass on the big screen. 9/10/10
I saw it last night as well and I really liked it. It was... fun. Haha. Plenty of startling moments (though I'm not easily scared so I wasn't startled much). and people in the theater were definitely at the edge of their seats.
I hate how they cut most of Katie Cassidy's scenes.
I know! I was really looking forward to seeing the scene where she looks like Freddy (it's shown in one of the trailers), but they cut it out. Hopefully they'll put them on the deleted scenes on the DVD.

I used to watch the movies all the time, it scared the **** out of me, but i love that feeling.
