the law was if a girl under the age of 15 got raped, it wouldn't be considered as a rape crime if a man who assaulted her, married her afterwords. That's basically it, so the OP title is correct.

The thing is they assume anyone who is over like 15, can make their own decisions like marriage.

They think that girls can make their own decision after that age.

So they wanted to make that girls marry with the men they wanted, with their own will. They believe that isn't rape.


So if you believe anyone under 18 having sex with other people is rape ( even with their own will), yes they tried to make it legal. But they dont believe a 16 years old girl having sex with a 32 years old man is rape.
