Nope.
Normally if a label refuses to release you, you get stuck. See: JoJo, Rita Ora etc.
Kesha originally was told "You're staying, too bad, so sad".
She kept pushing, and now the court are forcing RCA to release her music with full support.
And if they don't, Kesha gets to leave.
Kesha basically battled one of the biggest labels, and pops biggest producer, and ended up having power over both. She can't leave, but she can make sure she gets what she wants.
How many artists are able to flip the tables on a situation like this? She may not have got freedom, but she got control.
It could have easily been a case of, you're staying with RCA, And then RCA refuse to release.
That's why she got the award.
